Introduction to the Consultant role

The fundamental role of a management consultant in Full Circle is to deliver chargeable business solutions for our clients, principally SME / micro enterprise owner-managers. The individual needs of each client differ massively and can be spread across, for example, sales and marketing, financial management, people management, social media and many others.

For this role, we are specifically seeking those with experience in Export Development, Tendering and/or Employability and Skills Development.

Your role will be to:

  • Identify the key issues facing the business/individuals – strengths to be built on and weaknesses to be addressed;

  • Provide practical solutions for the business/individuals that should – if implemented – impact positively on commercial performance;

  • Manage all aspects of the client relationship over time;

  • Adhere to all deadlines agreed with the client and to provide accurate and comprehensive records of time inputs over the course of the consultancy assignment.

Essential criteria:

We will only shortlist candidates who provide demonstrable evidence that they:

  • Have a strong honours degree qualification, ideally with a post graduate qualification.

  • Have a minimum of 2 years post-graduate commercial experience in one of the following areas - export development, tendering, employability and skills development which can be evidenced and supported with testimonials and references.

  • Have practical experience of providing business advisory services and skills development to SME clients in at least one of the areas outlined previously.

  • Have a clean driving license and full access to a car.

  • Have excellent IT skills.

  • Have the ability to work to deadlines and to have demonstrable experience of multi-tasking in a busy commercial environment.

  • Be prepared – from time to time - to work on projects outside NI.

Desirable Criteria

  • Have experience of working at an individual level with all levels of Clients, including Senior Executive Management in a professional and effective manner.

  • Knowledge of the use and benefit to businesses of digital, social media advisory services.

  • Have experience of delivering presentation / workshops to a business audience.

  • Have the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, combining expertise with strong analytical reasoning, effective communication skills and the ability to make sound decisions providing reliable guidance with our clients.
